Quit-smoking groups and in-person support

Support from a trained quit-smoking counselor doubles your chances of quitting for good!  For face-to-face support, you can choose to have sessions in a group with other people, one-on-one with a counselor, or a combination of group and one-on-one.

Many people find it easier to quit smoking when they do it together with other people. Support groups with a trained counselor can help make quitting easier.  Talking alone with a trained counselor can give you more time to discuss issues that concern you. One-on-one support provides individual attention to your unique needs.

Fees for in-person support vary.  Call programs to ask about price. Your insurance company may help with the cost.

In-person support available in your area

Once you find a program you like, call the program to see what they’re offering – and what it costs. Check with your health insurance plan to see if they help cover the cost.

Your health insurance company may offer special counseling services not listed below, so make sure to ask them when you call.
